I was chatting with my cousin and she suggested that i watch this anime that she's been following! Luckily for me i got into it when the episode number was nearing the end so i was able to get all the eps in 2 days of d/ling and i started watching it! Well let's just say that it was slow to start up but once it was going...i didn't do much else but watch it! 24 episodes later i was done and wanting more hehe!

I reckon the story was pretty kewl, a very specialised digimon sorta theme where ppl can summon a servant (who are heroes from the ages) and they have classes that pretty much describe the skills of the particular servant (eg. Sabre...well a sword user hehe)! The main goal of the anime for the "masters" is to achieve what is called the Holy Grail (not the generic one seen in things like Indiana Jones) but basically once claimed you are granted one wish! And the only way to get it is to get rid of the other masters in the process, of course using your servant's abilities.

Thought they could've brought out more servants and probably more skills but overall it was a highly enjoyable anime that i'd recommend to neone! Plus now all 24 eps are out so u don't have to wait each week to develop the story!

Watched recently, it's a pretty good anime. But I would give it the same rating as Gundam Seed Destiny. laugh.gif

At the beginning, I was expecting a lot from the relationship between Shirou (the main char.) and Saber (his servant). But the story got very soon centered on the "Holy Grail War". So, kinda disappionting

Anyway, if you don't know what to do with your free time, you can watch this anime

Sounds like that Gashbell or something anime? where they have that spell book and a doll?

Oh, no spellbook, only a do... I mean, a servant biggrin.gif

Masters only summon once their servant (that is when they become a master and involved in that war). Then, they can make their servant invisible, which is quite practical ^^ Masters are sorcerers, but the fights are mainly based on the servants abilities (except for Tohsaka Rin... oh well, forget it tongue.gif), those servants being reincarnations of "legendary fighters"

Hope this is understandable xD

lol not to want to sound too knowledgable.. but there are plenty of games these days that are character animated (still backgrounds) or even full 3D.. and it's generally normal to have a full voiced story (even with multiple endings) as well as original soundtracks. the h-game industry keeps up to date with most gaming technology.. of course within the confines of being anime-ish looking.

I'm not too familiar with this anime. But I do believe this stemmed from the makers of Tsukihime or Type-moon. And their other flagship anime was Shingestutan Tsukihime, which was also based off a hentai game. And from ST, stemmed a fighting game, Melty Blood, which I am currently addicted to.

If you want a nice drama/romance type anime, I'd recommend Shingetsutan Tsukihime, easily one of my top ten animes.
