Been clocking utterly ridiculous hours on Soul Calibur V. What a dream. The speed is back up and turtling is completely discouraged. I've clocked 40 hours on Leixia alone. It's everything the series has failed to be since Soul Calibur II. Amazing.

Hehe. I just Platinum'd the game. Never got the Sazh DLC but Lightning is in my party. can't wait for her DLC in May.

I've just acquired her. After like 8 fights. While I had equipped 2x Collector Catalogues I failed to turn on the Monster Collector fragment skill.

The Sahz dlc is nice, shows you what happened after he got Dahj back... and then lost him again. It also unlocks Serendipity from another time where the card games are now available, with bigger payouts. Poker is great, buy-in for games are at 1k, 10k and 100k.

I'm leveling Omega and Odin at the moment, dry-ran Long Gui without proper paradigms... and killed it. I think I'm at the point where I can deal with endgame monsters comfortably, then get raped by Nabaat.


By the by, what's the May dlc?

I want to get the Nabaat and Ultros/Typhoon DLC but there's precious little to do with them since I've already platinum'd the game. I'd essentially just be paying for fights since I have no use for them afterward.

May DLC is Lightning's story.

This bit of information was reported today by Famitsu magazine. Famitsu have actually mentioned Lightning story DLC before, as far back as January, when they reported that a new story episode with Lightning would “reveal the hidden truth” behind Final Fantasy XIII-2’s endings.

We don’t know if this is the same piece of DLC they were referring to. This week’s magazine says that the May DLC will expound on Lightning’s fight against Caius, and that the combat will be different from the game’s regular battle system.

XIII-2 platinum'd! My first. But the game is small in scale when compared to XIII proper, which I'm back on.

Quickest time so far on Adamantoise is just under 2min with 1xGenji Glove. I got 3xTrapezohedrons and not a lot of gil... time to farm. >_<


Oh yeah and Gilgamesh can SUCK MY BALLS.

ASURA'S WRATH! One of the first games to seriously tap into Hindu/Buddhist mythology! It's about time. There's so many rich visual and thematic elements that that games could utilize...

I'm not playing it, since I'm console-less but I'm watching this playthrough vicariously, because I've waited for this game to come out for almost a year now... It works because it runs less like a game and more like an anime OAV. Forreals... like, there are opening credits for each "episode" and even splash screens in the middle, like the ones you would see for a tv commercial break. In terms of a meaty GAME, it doesn't seem that great. It combines elements from space shooters, god of war melee, and quicktime responses like in heavy rain. And it's pretty short, clocking in at about 6-8 hours. But as a 6 hour long anime oav, it's pretty great.

I also liked that they allowed you to choose japanese voices. Unfortunately the subtitles are for the english script, so what they're saying doesn't always match up. But I'm just being nitpicky. It's pretty extraordinary to watch. Especially in HD.

Episode 11/18. This is fucking badass.

Are you spamming Death? That's a good way to deal with those quickly, tho it relies on luck.

I platinum'd XIII-2 within 80 or so hours. The game is fantastic. Too bad the story is so fucking terrible and the ending totally trolls you.

I haven't gone back to platinum XIII yet, though I want to (I've played through it twice sine I love the story so much).

So much this. Asura's Wrath is a mediocre shooter, a mediocre God of War ripoff, and an overblown and mediocre QTE whore. I made it through the first and some of the second chapters before wanting to kill myself, which is a shame, because the imagery it draws from is p fantastic and the craziness of it all is a trip. I might end up watching the entire thing at some point online, though.

I tried the spam death method but it just took way too long. My party can deal with turtles with little trouble. Most of the time.

Currently playing From Dust. I finally unlocked the full game and is probably the first god-type sim I've played on the PS3. It does take me back to the PSX sims with its simple controls, and there's a great sense of accomplishment when you defend your village from the elements.

I got Trine 2 for free, Awesomenauts for free (which is brand new), and Castlevania Origins and Symphony of the night...for free.

Well, "free" as far as subscriptions go.
