I'm sure everyone knows Nkorea plans to fire a missile in the next few days. the Taepongdong 2 or something. This is initial testing for space research or something. anyone care to discuss this? The news is definately making it into a really big deal, but it doesnt seem to be too much of a threat as of right now. My main concern is that it will be flying over Japan, and Nkorea might retaliate and attack Japan if they do anything to the missile.
Heres a link to one of the many articles about the launching of the missile. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090402/ap_on_..._nkorea_missile -------------------- ![]() |

I thought I read somewhere that Japan launched an anti missile system...or it is just my imagination...
Seems like it's pretty risky stuff, I really wouldn't be trying anything like this if I was Korea. -------------------- It looks like...White Feathers

DPRK seems to be a trivial country but are really very strong in some ways and always have been, proud and organized. The state just happens to be run by weak and selfish people. Unlike other small (and large) nuclear states it is in no way made of top-to-bottom idiot babies. Under slightly different circumstances they would probably be as rich as Denmark.
As it is, they do have the upper hand in negotiations and this may as well be pointed out. Maybe this would not be such a sacrificial gesture, even: if the rabble complain about adopting a weak posture simply blame Bush (seldom an incredible thesis) for hamstringing the US state dept, standing on the UN's broken ribs with one foot, and so on I think that Kim is someone who can be worked with as well. -------------------- - under construction -

Theres no real valid reason to be worried about this. But i'm still nervous about it. I just wish the missile would pass over and everyone is safe and sound.
::edit:: The missile was fired. JAPAN IS GONE...just kidding. yea it was pretty standard nothing happened ^_^ -------------------- ![]() |
