Squenix needs to make a profit, and I'm sure FFXIII is costing them a fortune.

Interestingly, FFXIII is still exclusive to the PS3 in Japan, but I'm sure that's because the 360 isn't doing well there at all.

In any case, I'm just wary that I haven't seen anything new about this game since E3 2006. Who cares if it's available on more than one system? Give me details about the, you know, game.

You should try Final Fantasy XII. It blows IX, X, and XI out of the water. Everything about it feels so much fresher compared to those titles, I think you'll like it.

I'm surprised that Squenix hasn't completely forgotten the Chrono series.

I've been hearing it's going to take more than one disc for the 360, probably because of the Blu-ray. I guess in a way it's all good, but I'm still kinda sad about it. XD

Whaaaat?? I play FFXI.... I was there from the beginning (of europe release). I think it's good that they made one online. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with FFXI? Apart from the fact that it's online.

@Heartless: well FFXII does echo abit of XI.... but without the actual online element, it's only ever gonna be a single player game.

I meant in terms of the characters and scope of story...everything about FFXII is different. I think it echoes part VI more than anything else, though you're right about the gameplay.

Don't get me wrong, it sucks for the PS3 owners who were holding that exclusive as a major card, but what can ya do. The best thing a PS3 fan can do is be glad it didn't jump ship completely, right?

I kinda doubt that, since the game is being designed as a single-player experience...any MMO feature would delay the game into oblivion, not to mention cost a fortune-and-a-half for the company. They also said that they want to keep both versions of the game the same in terms of content.

On the other hand, it would be cool if the game ends up supporting Achievements (360) or Trophies (PS3). I think that's a more likely scenario.

funny thing is no one in japan owns an xbox. which then brings to mind fears of dumbing down a game for the new breed of "casual" gamers. we should cry when squenix sell out to the wii. tho i heard crystal chronicles is quite good.

Haha, don't count it out. Konami may very well release it on the 360 when/if they re-release it...remember that they love to do re-releases for the series, and MGS2 eventually ended up on the Xbox.

But by that time, it won't be much of a loss. The PS3 is getting an enhanced Bioshock, a year after it was on the 360, after all, and those guys aren't too upset about it. Exclusives are only a big deal for a couple of months, then everyone finds something new to obsess over. XD

Now that i think about it... MGS4 deserves to be played by any and all. So yea... 360 owners.... go trade your machine in.

And if FFXIII sucks.... then at least 360 owners got a sucky one. Small victory.

Yes i do. Especially the CQC fights. Knife only = lots of fun. Sniper fights are wicked too. I think i'm about lv4 right now. You play?

Yeah. I haven't really played with CQC much, but I do want to level that skill up when I'm done with Runner and Assault Rifle. That and the Sniper Rifle skill. I'm level 4 now.
