Well, I didn't.
But don't worry, that's normal, I believe...
I take care of a forum too, and our board was hosted by miumu.com. Which kinda... Sucks, to tell you the truth.
So, an year ago or so.... We moved to a better host... (invisionfree, that is) And I sent mass PM to all members (in groups of 20 or 30) and many people didn't get it... I also sent mass e-mail to all of them to see if THAT would work perfectly... But didn't.
I guess it may fail when it's for many people... Not everyone will get it. And we can never know WHO did. =___=
Because of that, we lost many members... Even though the really active ones KNEW we're going to change, anyway. At least I could turn the board offline with a message saying we moved... And the new URL. I guess it helps a lot!

As for daiforum... Good it's back! Now we don't need to care about that anymore XD
Good I already knew about the "2 days later" one. ^^

Hmmm.. I remember daiforum had the board offline once.. or twice?
It was something related to PM's... blink.gif
I don't really remember.

Uhm...
1st moved the hosting,
2nd hacker attack, was down and up several times,
3rd changed into phpBB,
4th changed back to invision,
5th moved the hosting again.
6th I fucked up the database for 3 days, down, T__T
7th this one... domain expiricy.

Major members were saved, because we can access the ftp, which mean we can redirected automatically to another page, or change the index with information or such.

And also able to backup the database.

Thanks for the info, at least it's invisionfree faultiness... x_X

And oh, kevin renewed it.
