The Map v2, Where are you my friends ? Options

Hello everyone,

I have added today a new functionnality to our forum : the Map.
What is it for ? On that map, you are able to add points, your location for example. But you can also add other interesting locations 8)

The Map is back, but it's slightly different from the phpbb version.
This time, you are able to add your location, and nothing else
How to do that ?

Click on Member Map (top, right of the forum, under the banner), then on My Location.
If you already know you latitude and longitude, put them in the boxes.
Else (everyone's case I guess), follow the instructions under the boxes.

Argh, my mistake (again), sorry

Two things :
- you have to be a member of the Citizen group to be able to add points on the map. If you're not, register by clicking on Usergroups and following the instructions. Your registration has to be approved by a mod/admin/techie, so it may take a little time...
- if you have trouble seeing the map, resizing your browser window may be a solution

Well, I added two points, but for some reason there are a bunch more!

yup me, or one of my fellow mod added you so no problems ^^

how to do it:


1)in the map, zoom until you clearly find your location.
2)select "edit mode" (tick the little circle near "edit", on your right
3)apply the pointer of your mouse in the area where you wan to see your location added
4) fill in the form on your left
5)validate

6) should be working ^^

I was going to place a point on my house when I thought "oh well, *somewhere in France* will be enough". Google Map is cool but dangerous :wink:

Problem - the coordenates are messed up. It puts me about 5 miles east of where I should be Xd

Change your coordinates manually then. But actually, who cares about your precise location ?
