I keep hearing their name in the forum (and I see their name at Map of the Heart), but I have no clue who they are.
Can someone tell me about AAA? And how Missile Innovation is involved? = -------------------- ~Oasis Heart3

You guys sure you really wanna know? Now, I really don't know too much about them myself, but they are basically a group of guys and girls who sing and dance around... In flashy costumes. I know that sounds really terrible, and it is kinda cheesy to me, but at least some of the girls are pretty cute. MI has basically been perfoming with them as support members, sorta like how the GTB was to DAI.

For some reason, you made them sound like Morning Musume. xD
You know, I was seriously tired when I made that post last night. So my mind wasn't working too well. xD I used the Goddess Of Knowing, aka Google, and I found some things. And then I remembered Wiki.theppn... http://wiki.theppn.org/AAA So, I learned that AAA is an 8 member group who debuted in 2005. Their singles are dirt cheap ($5 for just the CD, $10 for a CD+DVD!!), and their first single "BLOOD on FIRE" was used in the live action Initial D movie. Apparently, based on what YesAsia says, "AAA" stands for "Attack All Around". Hence why they sing, dance, etc. It's a pretty clever name. And makes sense...unlike "Porno Graffiti". (I would LOVE to know where that name came from. xD) -------------------- ~Oasis Heart3

Porno Graffitti comes from the title of a really old album if I recall correctly.

Porno Graffiti is also the name of a Japanese band.

I was referring to the band when I said that. But you're right, KĂŠnox -- that IS where they got their name from. Wikipedia confirmed it:
"Porno Graffitti (ポルノグラフィティ) is a Japanese male rock band from Innoshima. Its name was named after an album of Extreme." -------------------- ~Oasis Heart3

someone upped a preview of a live where there was a sad Ryo :evil: ...i dunno, but he didnt look all full of energy like when performing with DAI ;______________________;
And that's why I hate AAA... group of kids who sing and jump...might sound as Morning Musume, but there are 3 main differences: 1) It's a group of boys and girls 2) I like MM better 3) They sing with live music There are pics of Ryo hanging out with them on MI blog i think, also a pic of him on his berfday with them.... .-. -------------------- |

AAA is nothing like MM you ped.
AAA sing a lot of genre and I like thier recent songs. If you have seen the Grudge 2 remake, Misako Uno(one of the AAA) is in it. -------------------- ![]() |

You got like, two people who can really sing well, and then the rest of the group just dances around. I just find that to be cheesy. Care to share with us what makes them so appealing to you? (aside from MI) I don't hate them, but then again I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to their music either. |

It's kinda like AAA is a group for younger music fans, like Morning Musume or the second dream are. Not saying they sound alike, but you've got the "lots of people in a group that do more than just sing" thing going on. I couldn't care for AAA because I don't like their stuff at all; I think the new dream has all of 2 really good singers (out of, what, 7 members) and not much else going for them; and I've never tried out Morning Musume.
oasis_heart, if you want me to, I'll upload the Dragon Fire music video and Friday Party live. Missile Innovation is in both of them. And band names don't have to make sense. As long as you can refer to them and know who's behind them, then they've done their job. With any good band, the music is what defines the name. -------------------- ![]() |

I don't care if you hate them just because MI is playing their songs. Ryo and Van are not that popular today as they were before(in DAI).
I don't hate MM either. I just don't like their fans. Freakin gross. (You would know if you have watched their concerts). Maybe you are right. AAA appeals to me since I am young(19yo) but I do listen many other kinds of music as well. I like AAA because they are full of energy. I know that 3 of them (Takahiro, Naoya and Misako) are the main singers and the rest of them just dance around. Those 3 sing really good. Especially Takahiro which is really cute. I like all of their songs. Most of their songs are catchy and their serious songs are really done well. I love this song by AAA --> Bokura no te mp3[/url] -------------------- ![]() |

I don't dislike them because of the M.I. thing, I just...don't like them, they're not my thing. Also, I didn't mean to say that I think younger music listeners have heard less types of music, just that these groups are seem marketed toward the younger generation (you're my age, for future reference).
