^ 21st? did you mean last day of TIME MACHINE Tour on June 22? They just added new date July 7 on Shibuya Kokaido.

I'm moving back to Japan on March 26, but I'm not going to go to a DAI concert until at least some of my DAI buddies are able to go too. ^_^

At least this time around, I'll be able to afford to go.

wow, i just come back here and now i found this thread. Really looking forward for this. I'm tentatively in biggrin.gif

Some suggestion about where to live. I suggest to use hostel or guest house rather than a hotel. You can found many in HERE. For tokyo, Khaosan in Asakusa is one of the best based on price and facilities. Guest house is also a good option but haven't got much information about this. Couch Surfing may be another choice, it's a LOT cheaper and sometimes free because we're basically stay in local people house. But because we're planning in a large group maybe it'll gonna be the very last option for the minimum budget traveler. My friend mention about using PASMO for daily transportation. Any info about that? rolleyes.gif

Is anybody here from around south east asia? i would like to discuss more about the flight from this area (i'm from Indonesia)

Well that's all i can share, hope it's usefull smile.gif

oh, $2000 - $2500 is good enough for around a week if you really focus on the concert, concert goods, and traveling. This is based on my girlfriend traveling budget to Tokyo last year.

To be honest, I wouldn't care much for staying at a hostel, but I guess that's due to the fact that I've never stayed in one and seem to associate them with being similar to motels, which I do go out of my way to avoid. I would just stick to a hotel for myself. I kinda like Japanese hotels. I like the baths. lol

There's still the lack of privacy that hostels have compared to a hotel, seemingly. I like my privacy too much. So if I am around I'll stick to a reasonably priced hotel. I'll try to save a lot.

Hey,

It will be interesting to go for the DAI 13th Anniversary *free soul & free spirit* concert in Sept/Oct

I saw the plane ticket seems to have a low price compare with June/July/Aug

but i am like the major of you, i have never been in Japan ohmy.gif

Question :
- Do we can buy Tickets for this concert from abroad ? (i am from France)
- Some of you are interested by this idea ?

I"m curious about that too. How would ticket purchasing work if you're abroad and planning a trip at that time?

For buying concert tickets, I assume that you can:

1) Have a DAIForum member (located in Japan) get your ticket for you; or
2) Find a website that buys Japanese tickets for foreigners, kinda like what Shopping Mall Japan does for Japan-only stores (Yahoo! Auctions, Rakuten, etc).

I planned to use these options (hopefully#1) in regards to the DAIForum/Japan trip. I'll try searching for websites like #2 (where you can get Japanese tickets); if I find something I'll let you know.

Side Note: if we did have a forum member in charge of purchasing tickets, we should all chip in a little extra so they'll have a "salary" of sorts. It's the right thing to do. Plus I guarantee you those ticket-buying programs are gonna inflate the price as well, so there's really no getting around it anyway.

For their 14th Anniversary? That might be a good choice, I think that either that or their 15th Anniversary might be good. I think they would probably do something big for their 15th anniversary like a concert at budokan since it's been awhile since they had a concert there (10th Annivrsary correct?)

Good luck with planning this though as I know recently Namie Amuro's 20th Anniversary concert for this Sunday was cancelled because of a typhoon and a lot of international fans had already bought tickets.

So far I haven't saved anything because I'm still earning minimum wage, so all my money is going to my bills and my superfluous shopping habits (which really isn't that much). D: I'm praying I can go next year. Are we aiming for the summer trip still even though a tour next year is likely but still hasn't been announced, or should we wait for their anniversary live? Are the chances high that their next anniversary live will be for only fan club members too? If I can make it to Greece AND Japan next year, I'll be bouncing off the walls in excitement. rolling.gif

I think I can only attend the 14th anniversary tour. Next year march is a too early and I haven't made any preparations whatsoever and I have my research going on (which basically is the most important thing right now for me, gotta graduate hehe). So most probably, by year 2014, it should be good. I'm planning a long trip to Japan after I graduate lol.
