Well, here's Blake Richards doing a run-through in the studio sans vocals. Fuck, how do you memorize something like this? And play it the same way each time live?

Part 1

Part 2

bump for justice.

Here's me jizzing over BTBAM's new release:

Colors was a massive amalgamation of various styles of music and sub-genres of metal, from Shoegaze, Post-Rock, Metalcore, to Black, Death, Grind, Thrash, Power, Prog, Jazz, Ceremonial Chants, Bluegrass, and Polka, to name a few. All were seamlessly integrated into one mammoth concept album, meant to be heard as one giant track. It makes their previous album Alaska look amateurish, but by comparison with other releases from other artists, Alaska kicks a lot of ass and takes a lot of names. Colors... exponentially so.

Forgot how often I used to post music on daiforum tongue.gif. Going back and reading some of my posts was an exercise in cringe. foxconfused.gif

Well, I was in that obnoxious 18-20 age, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, lol.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I used to post on daiforum the way folks post on twitter. There's something almost desperate in my posts back then. Desperate for what? Validation?
It just hit me that around the time I joined DAIForum, I had just been dumped by my girlfriend, who turned my dorm hall into axis and allies. DAIForum became all I did on the internet between classes and looking for music.

Well that was illuminating for me.
